About Jamie

Experienced leadership, results driven.

My name is Jamie Lowery, and I am running for Mayor.

North Bay is my home.

I was introduced to this community through my marriage to Sandra Ammerata, and it's where three of my five children live along with three of my grandchildren.

We all want North Bay to succeed: to prosper, grow, and reach its full potential. We have many talented, dedicated people working for the City of North Bay. What we need now is leadership — strong, focused, and determined — that gives staff clear direction and delivers measurable results for residents.

The road here

Building things that last

In 2015, I was hired by the Cassellholme board with one clear goal: get a new Cassellholme built. It was a significant challenge, but my team and I worked tirelessly to move the project forward, and I'm proud that Phase 1 is complete and residents are now enjoying this state-of-the-art facility. I retired from Cassellholme in 2022 but have continued my advocacy for seniors through Castle Arms seniors housing.

I decided to run for council in 2022 because I believed my experience as a senior administrator in Markham, Pickering, and Brampton could help address the challenges facing our city. You can learn more about my experience and qualifications in my record.

Since being on Council, I have heard from countless residents who are frustrated by the way their tax dollars are treated, concerned about the state of our roads, our desperate need for physicians, and a lack of transparency at City Hall. Too many critical issues have been pushed aside — and I share these frustrations.

My priorities are straightforward

  1. Respect Every Tax Dollar
  2. Fix City Hall
  3. Build a North Bay People Choose
  4. Stronger Neighbourhoods. Safer Streets.

I have the experience, qualifications, and passion to lead our city through the challenges ahead. As mayor, I will fight for every provincial and federal dollar we can bring home to support infrastructure, social programs, and action on mental health and addictions. And I will remain open to creative, innovative solutions, regardless of where they come from.

Strategic vision matters. But the work is only real when people, resources and accountability move together.
